Chapter 4:

Sweet dreams.

Tsurihito's Bride

"What she has done to me?", I was genuinely confused. "I am perfectly normal though?"

"You aren't!", the people at the cafeteria were staring at us. Teiji left without another word, and the other classmates were all silent and slowly gulped their portion of food.

I was mad at him. Why the heck did he do that? I don't recall him behaving like that before. Why is he so against about usbeing together? Something feels very off about his behaviour... but I was too angry to think about that.

"Lets go, Airi-chan.", I gripped her hand and shot off the cafeteria. She tagged along with me without saying a word. I could feel her stumbling a few times.

I slowed down a bit. "I am sorry for that... for how he treated you then, and how I treated you now..."

I know she was getting a bit hurt as I gripped her hand tightly, and also when she stumbled. I was feeling very guilty about it. I wanted to cry to her and apologise. It's always my close people who get hurt when I am angry.

"It's okay. You are angry for me. I don't mind it at all. So don't make such a face that you are about to cry."she saw me and hugged me from the back. Man... she doesn't miss. Her talk always hit spot on...

"Thank you."

"Do we have everything prepared?", Airi-chan asked me. Time sure passes away quickly. It was somehow already the night before the trip. I looked around the house. The unwashed plates remained in the kitchen sink, the bedroom was messy and we were looking for stuffs to pack in our luggages on our bed. I said, "it seems we made the house messy, but embarrassingly, it was mostly me who was guilty for the crime.

"All set!", I excitedly looked at her. "I hope the trip goes well!"

She smiled blankly at my direction. "I hope it does..."

"Why are you so dry when it comes to trips? Cheer up a bit at least? Please?"

"Because it makes me tired."

I thought about it for a moment. "Well then-"

"Ehh?!?", her face blushed. "W-what are you doing!?"

"Huh... you are surprisingly lightweight in my arms.", she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in my chest. Her hot breath diffused through the shirt into my bare skin, tickling it.

"Now, off you go-", I threw her lightly on our bed. "It's time to sleep!"

She hid her face with her hands. "That's not fair... doing stuffs like that so suddenly..."

I turned off the lights, before going to bed too. "Sweet dreams."

Airi-chan woke me up early that day, and I wasn't quite feeling the hype.

I yawned. "Why did you wake me up so early..." my eyes were heavy, I could fall right back asleep any moment.

"Hey! Today's the day of the trip! You have to get up and be prepared!", she shouted like an angry mother.

I brushed, took a shower and sat on the dining table to eat. I was still sleepy. It was six o clock in the morning, and I was never a morning person to begin with, unlike her. I have never seen her sleeping more than me. She falls asleep after me and also gets up before me. Does she even sleep?

I laughed.

"Why are you laughing?", Airi-chan stared at me, trying to find the reason.

"It's nothing."

"I feel like you are thinking something weird about me."

"You are absolutely correct.", I laughed again.

She pouted. "Hmph."

"Sorry."

Our train will be leaving at eight, and we were told to stay in the station by 7:30 am. And we are here...

AT FREKIN 6:30

"It's your ADHD working on full force again.", I looked at her with blunt eyes.

She rubbed the back of her hair like an idiot. "Te he~"

"Don't te he me!", I pressed on both of her shoulders with my hand. "What are we supposed to do this early??"

"Uhh..." she looked around for an excuse.

"Hey! Look at me!", I closed the distance between our faces. I wasn't angry at all. I was just bored. Pretending to make a scene is a good entertainment. I want to see how she reacts.

Her face suddenly beamed. "I know! You love exploring! Lets explore!"

"Airi-chan.", I was serious.

"Eh? Katsuhito-kun... why do you look so... disappointed?"

"Because it's like the hundredth time this has happened and it's the hundredth time you have given the same excuse. We have literally explored every inch of this station."

She gave up on her excuses. She can be dumb at times.

Well, it wasn't that long before my other ADHD buddies arrived at the station awfully early. I guess it's time for the journey.

My hometown huh... I wonder how it looks like now...
