Matsuda Satoshi is a junior high school student with big ambitions to join the student council, paired with a great sense of justice. In order to accomplish his goals, he must first deal with his biggest weakness: his excessive honesty. One day as he walks the school corridors, he witnesses a girl accidentally knocking down a flower pot and running away. However, he manages to identify the girl just before she flees the scene. It was his classmate, Yoshihara Kaede. As he reports the case to the student council their "trial" begins. He expects the trial to go smoothly, with Kaede's confession and apology as its conclusion. But little does he know: his classmate is a pathological liar.
As Satoshi seeks the truth, the two of them grow closer into a relationship of teasing and caring for each other.
