Merla and Jess are childhood friends that dream of one day joining the royal magic guard, in hopes of escaping poverty. They attend Gulla academy on the island of Odyessy. They have free roam of the campus but must never go to the cove at the edge of the island. Everything changes when Merla hears a song that calls her to it.
