From a young age, Synthara was fascinated by magic and devoted her life to it. Despite all of the mockery and scorn she faced in the modern world, her dedication was rewarded by becoming a Demon King, a magical entity that stands at the apex of all life. After a four-way clash with the current Demon King sitting on the Throne and two previous Demon Kings, all of reality shatters and a new world is made through the four Demon Kings power. In order to regain their lost power, they must rebuild the Throne and enforce their Edict upon the universe. Synthara seeks out allies within the territory she created to conquer all of existence.

Enter Wilhelm Starrk, reclusive prince of the Ragna Kingdom and its strongest warrior who uses necromancy to enhance his body. He seeks revenge against the Holy Ougon Empire for killing all of his kingdom's people. Together with Synthara, they enact a bloody crusade against the Empire with an army of vengeful undead Ragnites behind them.
