Synopsis

All Tahvin had to live for was his story—a fantasy world of his own. That was, until he was pulled into the realm of his novel by an eccentric Lich named Phyllis. But not everything was as written.

Now, the author must learn to adapt to his new life as Ishara and the harsh world he created on the verge of the final cataclysm. While navigating the dreams of trauma from his past life, he must manage to survive, strengthen up, and, most importantly, use his knowledge to not do anything that disrupts the foretold narrative of this reality.

Enter the Misfits of Al’Magi Academy, a trio of coeds with the skills necessary to help him accomplish his goals—if only they could function as a team. Unable to tell them who he truly is, will he be able to persuade them to help accomplish his aim of maintaining the order of this realm? Or will they all become another group of souls lost to the churn of this harsh reality?

CW: Profanity, Fantasy Violence, Alcohol/Drug Use, Sexualized Imagery

Note from author

Hey there and welcome! I want to tell you a little about what I was hoping to explore writing the RO.

The RO is ultimately a story about healing. Tahvin's life was suffering, not physical, but emotional. His death was sudden and unexpected. And his new life is far from perfect. He is not OP, nor does he have a useful set of skills. All he has is the knowledge of his story world. The only world he ever truly cared about. A world that saved him in a dark time and will lift him up once again.

The RO is a story about love. Learning to love yourself regardless of flaws. It's also about learning to love others after trauma. Learning to trust. Now, this topic is only briefly touched on here and now, in this first book. But with 10 additional stories already drafted, I can tell you, the romance is coming. I even spent a few months researching consensual non-monogamy to do harems justice.

So, if you hang around, I hope you cry as much as I did in later chapters. Thanks for popping in!
