Synopsis

"Life is noise, and I chose to adapt through silence."

Nara Hiro is a cynical high schooler who loathes social "masks." He believes true bonds are a myth and friendship is nothing more than a lie of mutual interest. Content within his solitary bubble, his peace is shattered when he’s forced to join the "Seishin Academy Club"—a sanctuary for the socially maladapted and the misunderstood.

Led by the ice-cold "Queen," Alissa Shinogawa, and joined by the arrogant silver-haired Renji, the troublemaking heiress Yuna Kamishirogawa, and the deceptively bright Miyuki; Hiro finds himself surrounded by people just as broken and defensive as he is.

In a club where no one wants to be a member, and with people who can barely stand each other, can Hiro find a "genuine" answer? Or will his school life turn into the very noise he tried so hard to escape?

The club is open. The misunderstanding has begun.

Note from author

"Welcome to the world of HENG-GAIRU.

This story is a personal exploration of the 'masks' we all wear to survive high school—and the noise we create to drown out our true selves. Inspired by the depth of classic psychological Light Novels, I wanted to write a journey that doesn’t offer easy answers or cheap romance; instead, it offers a search for what is 'genuine.'

Through Nara Hiro’s cynical eyes, we will encounter people just as broken and defensive as he is. I hope you enjoy the collision of egos, the sharp dialogue, and the heavy moments of silence in between.

Thank you for giving this club a chance. The door is open—let the misunderstanding begin."
