Raised on the mean streets of America, Richard “Dick” Slaughter has long imagined a new life and fresh start across the sea, in the Land of the Rising Sun. The opportunity to study as an exchange student at Higashikatsushika High is a dream come true. But dreams can often become quite strange, and this town is anything but sleepy. Dick soon becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue and conspiracy involving local spellcasters, vengeful spirits, scheming student councils, rogue government agencies, authoritarian magic girls, and desperate anime studios, not to mention escalating delinquent wars, beach episodes, anime girls come to life, and perfectly-timed gusts of cherry blossoms.

But hey, when you put it like that…could a weeb want anything more in life? This year abroad might be the stuff that dreams are made of.

The work, which becomes a new genre itself, will be called:
