Shiera is enamored by a children’s story—in her teenage years, no less. She won’t admit it to her twin brother Kori, but the old tales of humans and spirits fascinate her, distract her from her boring life on Earth. She holds out hope that one day, she’ll be able to visit the world of her dreams.
But when her dreams do come true, she finds only a chromatic nightmare. Thrust into an ages-old race war she’s fighting for no one but herself, she makes a desperate agreement with an evil spirit in an attempt to turn her situation around.
Despite her new abilities, she’s still lost. Everyone she meets seems to have some sort of vendetta, whether it be against the other race or members of their own. The human government hones in on her spectral connections, and suddenly she’s not sure which side she’s really on.

This book was previously known as Mahō no Gakkō. Any reference to it by this title is still valid, but you have permission to call people geezers for it.
