Godless

Synopsis

We have been abandoned in this Godless world. Or rather, I should say, this world without Order and only Chaos.
Pandemics, droughts, floods, typhoons, famines—this is the world God abandoned the day he allowed Chaos to kill his Enforcers of Order.
The Enforcers came in two forms: Light (Angels) and Dark (Devils). The Light Enforcers embodied the pure instincts of mankind, such as empathy, healing, and love; whereas, the Dark Enforcers embodied the spirits of wrath, war, and hate. Both were necessary to maintain Order. Just as a wildfire can destroy acres of forest, the destruction allows new, stronger trees to grow in its place.
Without the Enforcers to maintain the balance between Light and Darkness, human beings were allowed to roam free, to follow their own natures, to be tempted by the Spiritual beings of the Inbetween, and to create a world which steadily sinks closer to its own ruin.
That is, until the day she awakened.
