What does Dante "Chops" Taikosama want to be when he graduates from school? The best drummer there ever was!
As a Vocal Percussionist (a Human Beatbox - hence his nickname) from a very young age, making noise came naturally to him. Chops’ childhood hero, his great uncle, was a successful drummer but sadly died in a car crash on the way back from a concert.
It wasn't until he first picked up the sticks that he realised being a famous drummer was his destiny.
He discovers he’s a natural behind the drum throne, but also strives to learn from his mistakes. This sets Chops on an extraordinary path which has his friends and family in awe as he competes fiercely to get to the top.
The musical prodigy starts his journey at his high school’s famous Annual Drum-Off Competition, replete with drama, loud music, enemies and a lot of emotion, which lead to Chops discovering his biggest fear - performing in front of a live crowd!

I am a first time writer and a massive lover of Anime, I have always been into Graphic design and have been taking it more seriously as i've improved, then discovering this website through MAL has inspired me to write my own Novel!

The title 'In the Pocket' is a term used for drummers which basically means: having great timing, great groove, and serving the music.
My ultimate goal is to have this Novel turned into a Manga & eventually an Anime one day, so I will work my hardest to make this a masterpiece!
