False Paradigm

Everyone is hungry for power. Their greed for eternal authority is truly frightening more so the things they are willing to do just to achieve it. Elves contain in-born mana blessings that can be used in many different ways such as nourishing nature, tending animals, and even granting the desired immortality of many. Despite this, no one has ever proven if this so-called 'immortality' of the elves were true. It was even considered a taboo for the elves themselves. But this doesn't stop the humans who were starving from the greatest sovereignty. A device that can extract mana blessings was invented leading to a great disaster wherein a lot of elves were slaughtered. A never-ending sacrifice and experiments began all just to gain what they described as the pinnacle of truth.
