Actually, I'm not at all surprised at how quickly things are progressing. I think Daniel has consciously and firmly placed Jack in the friend zone because that is how guys are supposed to think of and treat their guy best friends. And when Daniel started turning into Lune his thoughts didn't change because he is still thinking of himself as a guy, just one who's stuck wearing a girl costume now and then.
But I think, in truth, Lune has been a girl all of her life, just one born with a boy body. And that is why she was a suitable candidate for becoming a magical girl. And in the past few days Lune has started thinking of Jack as a girl would and she is falling head over heals in love with him. Or lust. It's kind of hard to tell the difference at that age. So, yes, I think it's very expected for things to be moving quickly. And that's even without any possible effects the Princess Cupcake may be having on her.
As for Jack, Jack has been protecting Daniel all of his life like you would protect a girl friend. And that didn't change one bit once Lune showed up. Of course, we have no idea yet if this is just instinctive reactions or more consciously deliberate behavior on Jack's part. And we have no idea yet if Jack is figuring or has figured out that Daniel and Lune are the same person.
Like I've said elsewhere many many times, this story is AWESOME!!! ❤️
