Oh boy, I finally finished this! Once the royal ball coup attempt (is it considered a coup? Idk 🧐), I just couldn’t stop reading! This story truly felt very special. You took a very unique spin to this that drew me in, I admit with a little doubt, but you managed to turn this into something very interesting, fun and amusing 😁 I have to apologise because I thought that a story with such a silly (at first) premise couldn’t very well invoke strong emotions in me, and yet what do you know? It actually did 😅 the great witty dialogues, the immaculate descriptions, the fancy words the political games (! That was truly so awesome and well written that my non English native ass couldn’t keep up without having to Google half the words) the war strategies! It all mixed into something that ultimately turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable read, and a story I’d definitely look back on. And let’s not mention the hype for the 2nd VOLUME! 😤 Uff I’m so pumped! The romance too, was very lovely and although it needed time to kick in (not like I’m one to talk lol) it was certainly rewarding. Not to mention the amazing side pairings of Guin x Diane (adorable) and Stefan x Vlad (so wholesome), were a very nice side note to the romance genre of the story 😅 wholesomeness as far as the eye can see! All the characters had a unique charm to them, and I found myself falling for both Diane and Viv at the same time! Dare I say, those two stood out for me immensely 😤 I don’t think I need to tell you, maybe Diane’s ready to fire quip at any moment is answer enough 😅
One thing I could point out though, that I completely forgot to mention was maybe the lack of dialogue and role Viv’s mom had in the story 🧐 out of all the characters she was probably the least fleshed out 😥 yet again, no that big a deal, I believe you’ll have plenty of time to use her in the next volume should you want to.
Little aside, the comedy is top notch! I found myself laughing out loud more than once 😅
I think you truly did a great job Kaisei! You should definitely be proud of your work and for finishing it so early! I’m aiming to finish mine too, and try my hand at isekai so I’ll defo use your fast writing as my motivation! 🫡 Once again congrats, and thank you for writing! Can’t wait for the next volume if and when it eventually comes!
