I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again this was truly a masterpiece! I’m not normally one to read horror but this was the one book I just had to read, I had to know what was going on and everything was just beautifully put together.
The story in itself was a true pleasure to read with an amazing storyline and your descriptions were immaculate with the cherry on top being the characters. Speaking of…
Let me start with our hero Hideki, now of course he was absolutely amazing with how he handled everything and everyone, he played his part with courage and determination and never once gave up on anyone in the group. But of course at times I did want to smack him especially in the last couple of chapters but of course it was because of his love for his friends and obviously his girlfriend that made him take this step.
Next is obviously my girl Ayase, now at first she was a bit of a goody two shoes but after I got to know her she was absolutely amazing! And I ship her so hard with Hideki they are so cute ❤️
Now onto my girl Mayu, now Mayu was a little Ray of sunshine, definitely someone I would love to meet, her bubbly personality and leadership qualities is what made her friendship with Hideki really cute, and she was so friendly it was adorable, Mayu will always be my spirit animal and I really hope I can start viewing the world like her and just become more like her 😅
Unfortunately Hotaru and Kazuya were taken from us, I actually thought they would’ve been really cute together since they were found together as well, but turned out that Hotaru wasn’t even real and Kazuya was tricked resulting in his death, but either way both were really sad 😔
Again with Kurosawa, Yoko and Tanaka, Kurosawa being the first to be taken and Tanaka to have died a hero while saving both Hideki and Ayase whereas Yoko dying from the metal monster thingie, either way it would’ve been nice to see them all leave together but I guess every story has their highs and lows.
Which reminds me great plot twists as well, especially in the end with Misaki and her tragic story as well.
All in all I’m really glad everyone got their happy ending, more or less 😅 and I am really really looking forward to the Tokyo Exorcist, it’s gonna be worth the wait I just know it.
But yes you had me hooked throughout from the beginning to the middle to the end everything was whizzbang.
