It definitely felt odd transitioning from horror to slice of life, but I definitely am enjoying it, as this also created some tension between Adan and Eva! I wonder if Mara and Shad will make it work. And will Shad ever find out Mara's secret? Guess we'll have to wait and see!

yeah I wanted to dip a little back into horror, but when I got the design for Mara, I was like, this is too scary and too cute to be an antagonist! So I'm thinking I'll do some slice of life shenanigans for a little bit as a consequence of Mara's arrival.

oh yeah definitely! I think I'm gonna wade a little bit back into the horror with the next chapter, as well as tease a twist I have planned for the story overall. :D

you're fine. I think I'll progress to more slice of life for now with My Morning Star, that way I'll be able to flesh out Havenwood as well as it's denizens.

Yup, there aren't any true robots. The Unimus are biomechanical entities.
I try not to be very explicit, but this is a story about someone who is not a good person.

So I've changed the name of the town to Havenwood. That change takes place around chapter 2 or 3, but after I crank out a couple more chapters I will come back and fix the discrepancy.

thanks! I wanted to challenge myself with making something I was unfamiliar with, but still wanted to make authentic. it's always frustrating when the plot demands that characters act stupid to advance the plot. so I'm trying to avoid that.
