Thank you for the comments, and I appreciate the recommendation you gifted me on Discord! As I've mentioned to others, I struggled with this story quite a bit, so I'm happy people found it worthwhile! This may be my last work on this platform (nothing to do with the other contest, I promise!) for some time, so that it had such an impact with others is humbling.
And, as a final note, there are lots of things I haven't considered about my stories. I want to shore up the Ariadne arc because it really fell flat in my reading of it, and I've received a healthy amount of critical feedback for Paradiso. There are lots of revisions I intend to make over the summer (a big reason why I will not be participating in the Isekai contest among other reasons) to the three main works that I've written in the last several months, and these incoming improvements, I think it's fair to call them that, would not have been possible without second and third, neutral parties responding to my writing.
Something, something, we are all laid equal beneath the Endire. :)
