Hmm, I was thinking of classic but brief Christian prayer. They may in Japanese restaurant, but they are Americans to the core.

Well, and now this is the rhetoric that people always make: have a separate stomach for dessert. Those ppl says they are full when facing the main course, but still able to gobble down an ice cream scoop well, which indicates they didn't got full at all. Keith is pretty much like me, a big eater that spare no more room for anything else and only stopping before you blow your stomach. Since they ordered a lot, i could imagine that Keith is the one sweeping the rest that she didn't eat. Those sushis and gyozas... Anyway, after being full, Keith got confused that she is able to handle a scoop of ice cream. If he actually order one, he probably throw up due to overload.
And this... There's a reason why she said this, a silly one. I can't explain in comment or otherwise it's a spoiler. If you really wanna know the real reason then ask in DM or wait until the next few chapters explain this.
Just a hint for you to consider: "What if she didn't ready to finally move from friendship and fake lovers to real lovers?"
