From a constructive standpoint, it would have been better to show the moment Makoto showed the teacher his photos. It would have helped build the tension more instead of telling us it happened. Also the fact that Reina was allowed to sit in, and the fact that no one asked who Kuroda is and what she's doing there feels very unrealistic.

Reina didn't take the picture nor was she present when the picture was taken. It's fine that she's curious, but it also feels like she knows more than what she's saying. Why is a complete stranger present and talking about 'maybe bringing the photo to the university?'

You're building a mystery, but don't be afraid to take your time, and flesh things out. You're doing a great job so far. Keep it up!

Very good start. I'm a little confused about how she can appear 'where the photograph were looking from.' It makes it sound like she's in the lens instead of the actual photo if that makes sense? I also don't see how she can be his crush since he hasn't shown any sign of being attracted to her. But I really like this so far, and can't wait to read the next chapter. Keep up the excellent work, and good luck in the contest!
