Sweet and tender. Those are the feelings that I'm left with. I don't know if there's really words that can describe how I felt while reading this story. It was simple but highlighted in elegance. It was cathartic, seeing Mitsu finally find the one thing he needed and realizing that he never needed to give anything up. And for Amber finding someone that didn't mind accepting her circumstances, because she reserved plenty of room for him as well.
Romance isn't always about finding the perfect fit. It's rare that a relationship can hold where one focuses on all the good points alone. It's the low points - the crying, the disappointments, the times we fail and feel vulnerable - that define how well people stay together. I feel like this novel focuses on that. Enjoy the high points of life, never forget them. But also, be there for when the low points come. Shoulder each other's burdens so that you don't have to give up what you don't want.
I can say that it's left me touched. I really enjoyed reading this, Armonia. I only wish that it could have gone on for twice the length, if not more.
Cheers, Kaze out.
