I wrote news and articles. Attended events and collected data to be presented for the school news. I have always wanted to take up journalism and writing, but life has other plans. Here I am hoping to get that writer itch scratched!! I was never away from magazines and books. Just my focus shifted more into being featured as the model and the one being interviewed, as opposed to the one doing the data collection. Now, I want to go back to brainstorming and plotting! I’m a novelist who hopes my stories can reach people’s hearts. When I was in elementary school, I was reading in a bookstore while waiting for my parents when I saw a father and his son looking for a book to read together. That day, I decided I wanted to create stories that could give someone, even for five minutes, a place to breathe, travel, feel understood, or simply enjoy an ordinary day. I have a progressive visual condition that is gradually taking away my sight. I once dreamed of becoming a manga artist, and although I had to leave that path behind, I never gave up my desire to tell stories. Now I write worlds people may never be able to visit and adventures they may never experience themselves. And when the day comes that light leaves me, I hope my stories will continue carrying others to places I once imagined.
