This was so good!!! I was so immersed by your writing; it was like I was right there in the scene with them as they were chasing each other through the city. The jump scene in particular was just gorgeous!

I think I'm hooked on this! Great job ^^ (Side note: I really hope Marie continues to be such an amazing wingwoman even if she does figure out something's wrong. I'm a sucker for isekai stories where there's like one person who actually knows the protagonist is from another world and keeps supporting them)

For anyone wondering, the language Val is using isn't just gibberish. It's English put through a substitution cipher. I've included a map of it where the lefthand side is the original English, and the righthand side is the translated. I apologize for the sudden cryptography!

Okay, I'm sold! Little shit is cute and Ryuka reminds me a little of Kazuma from Konosuba in the best of ways! The 'it is what it is' attitude and her snark just does it for me.

Interesting premise! Admittedly, things can get a little hard to read with the constant shift between present and past tense and some of the word choices, but I'm curious to see where this goes.
