Man what a wild start! I usually don't like characters that speak everything on their mind but Mikazuki is quite likable and interesting. though he bagged a full time position in internship's first day so what do I know 😂

I totally get you, crafting the ending is a different beast on its own. I also agree that the nature of short stories makes it harder to delve deeper or fit such diving into the format of the story.

For Leah and her mom maybe she could send her some food when she's back to work or a similar gesture, I feel like a sentence or two can go long way, but that's just a mere suggestion, the story is good as it is now. 👍

Jokes aside this is usually how things come down to in these situations. Glad they didn't ruin their relationship over Mr. emotional IQ of a duck. (...well at least not completely)

This suffice as a final chapter for me but excited to see what happens next.

A little nitpicking but I wish there was some insight on how her relationship with her mom and Clara was before the incident, I feel like that would've enhanced the emotional impact of the story, but it was a wild ride nonetheless, great job! :)
