I will say, Eshu isn't sequel bait XD, if she was she would indeed just appear here at the end😉😆, its more that her story just needs an extra part, if we had 120k, you betcha I'd put it here. I actually in early drafts did have a whole bit where she explains everything, and wholly moly was it the lamest thing ever, I could never of posted it🤣💀.
Eshu needs two arcs essientially, one where she fails and the focus is on how Ko reacts - and then one where we work through this, that'd be an arc 4. Arc 3 is both very about Eshu, but equally not very Eshu featuring - that is by design but I 1000% agree its far from ideal💯. Sadly Sek and Ko need this arc, they arn't equiped to help Eshu at the start of it, heck Ko actually has multiple chances to make Eshu open up, but each time is too distracted by drones and demon girls and so on - in esscene Ko is escaping the responsibility of being Eshu's partner. Sek's too, with him she gets lucky and they resolve it, but her actions have the consequence of not being so lucky with Eshu😔.
That a million per cent leaves Eshu as unresolved, to be dealt with in the next volume (which I've already begun if that's any consolation😎). So I absolutly understand why its everyone's least favorite aspect😆, but for me, theres no other way I would take such a thing, short term gratification can only undercut long term satisfaction - even if that means weakening v1😭☠️💀🪦.

Its really kwl that you like the drones so much! I enjoyed writing them alot❤️❤️. If your gonna do gameworld, ya gotta explore some of the horrors of sentient coding I say😊🙌.

Thank you again, lots of fun comments and a very valid take on Eshu as is the general concensus on her, I can but apologies for my Halo 2 ass ending and hope V2 is the Halo 3 we deserve XD - thank you💖💖🔥

I think the addition of Aleric trying to save his world is interesting. If it had been more of a focus early on it might create an interesting ideological element, like why is Lyon opposed to that? Is it simply he doesn't believe its true or that he thinks their world must live as it is and not steal from another? Thats a very interesting contrast, but instead its a very late element and feels a bit underserved VS Aleric simply being a tryant as was the for most of the book🤔.

Did Valliere believe the world was dying too? Is she more of a fundementalitist, a zeolot over dedicated to Alerics ambition or was she just a mean court lady, becuase fantasy political stories have mean court ladies😆🤔.

Mugo, Bluesteed bit of a push over here😅, she raises consistently good points.
Kairo logic confuses me. He says Genie wpuld be a constant taregt, but also he'll end the civil war, so who would he be a target too once the war is over. Heck if he brings the demon king to earth too, genie will still be a target and now it'll be just him and Genie. Its all a bit circular.

I also like how quote 'he told her his reasons' I'd like to know his reasons myself😆. Like I presume, his parents maybe? He hardly just said, he misses mundanity and theres lots he could still do there, I imagine she'd bonk him if thats what he said XD.

Like Kairo internally raises a really interesting point here. Put everything else aside, magic and civil wars and whatnot - out of love, he wants to take Genie away from his family and friends and career and world - just so kairo can return to his convicme store job and bedroom in his parents house with dead pets life? Kairo has gone loco😆

Interesting🤔📝. As a show of the things Kairo desires to return too, I don't dislike that its mundane, but that equally doesn't equate to a very strong emotion from me either ya know.

I appreicate him being humble in his life desires💯, but its not much of a display of the things he's left behind - never seen someone whos mind would remember, of all things most fondly, his convenience store job and commute😆🤔.
