I really appreciate the suggestions, Yes, I actually used 'you' on purpose. I wanted the reader to feel like they are the brooding boy, as if they’re stepping into his shoes. But I really appreciate your point, and I might try writing in first-person later to see how it feels.
I think I’ll try writing in first-person too and give mc a name?.
