Thanks for asking! 🤗 Well, since Nýxios is god of the unseen, I wanted to create him personifying "shadow" (according to the villagers) and the "unseen" which is what he truly is, so his domain consists of both. The stag is a "piece" living on his land which is an extension of himself (a singular "unseen" shadow reigning), since he's an Earth-level god. So, in this case, even though it was a small stag, yes, Mēlesía did kill a small "piece" of Nýxios by choosing to hunt it for food.
