This means a lot to me, truly.
For the short time frame in which this story was conceptualized, there was definitely a lot of thought. I'm still having to think and re-work things as I go along to try and make this as cohesive as possible. These characters are the beating heart of the tale and I wanted to give them as much room to grow and be themselves as possible. So, I can't thank you enough for your kind words.
As for the cuts to the chapters, I'll consider it. There are a few factors that play a role in whether a chapter is longer or shorter and usually I decide to cut based upon events.
But I'm glad that you enjoyed the dive into Tadashi's psyche and who he is as a person. The scene between him and his grandpa was the toughest for me to write but it brought such a smile to my face. I'm glad you loved Grandpa Yakushi because he stole my heart when I first thought of him and he'll always be right there.
As for AI, I absolutely abhor it. This story is something that comes form a lot of my lived experiences but also just things that I would love to see, and I'm never willing to give that up or away to a machine.
Once again, thank you for visiting the world of Spirit of the Blade and I hope to see you again.
