These monks seem rather irsponsible, i feel the consept of a better personal relationship with the "gods" being worked with should be a priority this feels verry much like an action that should have poisoned the challace?
Though with the loss of name and the idignation in the ritual its quite likely there is some other whooey at play leading to this being more pf a calculated decision then it seems :/
