Well, comedy wise, it is good, ngl. The absurdity of the situation with exaggerated explanations fits the story. Sadly, not my style of comedy.

I mistakenly read this chapter instead of chapter one and it is really cliche. Not to say it is bad, because the writing is really understandable, which is really important, but I have seen this scene just way too much. Good luck on the contest, though.

You got something interesting here; however, I believe it would be better if you trimmed some parts down. 'Show, don't tell' is good, but isn't this a bit much?

First of all, thank you for taking your time to read and comment. Your comment means a lot to me, since I don't usually get a lot of comments.
I didn't know that someone actually finished my story on ScribbleHub! So I am glad to see you here.
Now to your suggestion. I agree, italics could help a lot! In fact, it could give a more horrific vibe to the story. However, I am not good with styling and writing. I just have different ideas in mind that scream to get out, so I turn them into words as much as I can. But I will indeed consider changing some parts in the future.
And yea, where people write classic web novels, it is hard for niche and different stories to shine. I am not saying this for myself. In fact, I believe there are hundreds, if not thousands, of authors better than me who struggle to get a view just because they write differently.
Anyway, I don't want to waste a lot of your time. Thank you; your words mean a lot to me. I wish you the best.
