Should have left Sebastian to rot away. Knowing Avii saved his life, that makes what I know of the abuse Sebastian deals to him later on all the more impactful (making me hate him even more 🤬)

The plot was introduced many chapters ago, albeit in pieces. The eventual goal was introduced all the way back in chapter 1, an antagonist that must be defeated. It's just that my MC is reluctant to actually engage with the plot. He's already failed once and is afraid of failing again. Hilami going missing gives him an excuse to venture out so he can eventually have his rematch with the Demon Lord. Finding the necklace gives him the strength that he needs to defeat the Demon Lord (or so he believes). Their travel method, while silly, is taken so they can avoid being attacked on their way.

My apologies for the slow going, but yes, the plot is happening and has always been happening.
