Oh, dang, what an unexpected turn. The drama is now set in place. An imbalance in their relationship. Conflicting ideals. I really like how the fox-girl set herself apart as her own individual in this chapter. Keep it up, Caeli!

That type of narration near the beginning was very ADHD-dissiociation inspired. I based it on the style of flash fiction. It hit very close to home, in that sense, and I felt it effectively streamed the "automatic" aspect of his morning routine. I sprinkle that kind of writing occasionally throughout the story, especially when the MC is dissociating. I appreciate you noticing that! Hope you've enjoyed so far!
