Hey everyone, I'm alive. I'm just too lazy, and I should say first that even if I happen to not reach 50K for the contest, I will still finish the story.
A part of me fears that it will take more than a bit beyond 50K words actually.

I'm not sure how long they really walked from where they parted from the others to the shrine.

You did a great job at describing their path, and you mentioned moonlight so I would guess it's night time, but personally, and that's coming from a lazy reader, I would've liked something a bit clearer to know how long this journey was.

Great work, Keme is a fantastic character so far. I wonder if Uriel would one day be able to speak with him directly, or earn his respect.
It's really a skill making a basically mute character this likeable.

Okay, I must say, as an experienced reader of this author and grand lore scholar (only 1 book of a series and a one-shot), Yuk is by fair the best written character, with the best written character arc, and the most life lessons, out of everything I read by Rex.

I wonder if Yuk is the secret connection between a few of his stories, for example like how specific characters in Fate (nasuverse) appear throughout many entries.

I have high hopes for Yuk's adventure in the Rexverse.

Also that dragon girl was cute.

I enjoy your story a lot even if you have more than a few spelling mistakes. I still recommend learning about show not tell, and yes show not tell is a tip people use so much that it's ruined now, but still.
I love characters like ruby. Logic is more important than emotions, and I hate the emotional arguments people use, so knowing Himari has a teacher to give her reality checks is fantastic.

Even if I can list out many issues in your writing, I like the story and characters, plus the intimacy this chapter was amazing (if only the site allowed more) so do keep up your work. Don't give up, get beta readers, live stream the writing process to get feedback, or even make a video rereading your story.

You could always remaster this story whenever you see yourself as good enough, so keep up your work and you'll get there!

Oh and it might be a me issue, but I wasn't sure who said "A Hero." near the end. Samara or hunter?

I might just be tired, and the minimalist style you have for dialogue is good, so I don't specifically want to see you add "XXX said/synonym" to the end of every line.

Amazing chapter, the pacing is very good. I personally do character thoughts in italic, but still.

Mistakes:
"what you want do"
"though of my family"

I think the way you go back from a flashback, the way you connect the ending of a flashback to the present, is very fun, cinematic or like an anime I want to say.

That's great logic, no issue here. At most (personal nitpick maybe) share to the reader some of that into you just gave me a chapter later or prior so the reader would have a hint to imagine how the king's and mira's reactions went about during the scene.

Mistakes I saw:

"its never" To write "it has" you're meant to do "it's"

You wrote "the she realized" a "then" instead of the.

And finally "grasping as" should've been "grasping at" I believe.

A part of me thinks mira opened up too fast, and that the scene went by too fast for people to remember this part that should be a clearly major thing for mira's growth (maybe I'm wrong) though other than that it was great.

I'm tired at the moment, so get a friend to go over my opinions to make sure I am not mistaking anything.
