Hey! That was a good read, I especially like the beginning it shows life, like how it flips from hoping things things be cool then it just flips into chaos, one thing I will note though the narration serves as both emotional anchor along with the dialogue like and I already got the point of Mc being treated like shit, so idk ,maybe use narration to drive plot more, although I am aware it's in first person but you already show clear emotion in dialogue.
Lovely read though.
