Okay.. honestly a great start. Though I have some suggestions. There are some minor punctuation errors. One more thing try to break up large paragraphs into small ones it really helps enhance the reading experience.

Wowww! Your writing is incredible when it comes to sensory detailing's, they really add life to your plot. But i would suggest that if you're going for psychological aspects as well than first person narrative would've suited better but that's just my opinion. This chapter is the best example of show don't tell

You should focus on the sensory details, it adds color to the story and increases immersion. one more thing, try to break up long sentences into smaller ones, Too long sentences ruins immersion. Also try to reduce these ' I asked, She said hesitantly' instead of telling show us through their body language.

interesting chapter. But you should slow down the pacing a little. too much is happening in just the first chapter. One more thing you should use italics to differentiate between internal thoughts and narration. The starting narration about the butterfly effect is quite introspective. You just need polishing and it can be a serious contender
