This Grayman guy is genuinely terrifying and amazing at the same time 😂 Kicking everyone’s butt specifically so they could level up was such a creative idea.
This chapter felt really different from a few of the previous ones, and in a good way. I genuinely enjoyed reading this one.

This backstory made me understand Roba so much better. So many of his feelings and actions suddenly have a solid reason behind them now, especially the way he sees Jorvain and himself.
My respect for Jorvain went up a lot too. He really might be one of the most selfless characters I’ve read in a while.
Roba still carrying guilt over what happened to the team hurts, and that Ardor spike at the end feels very important. The fact that it happened near another slime hill and he lied about it ever happening before definitely has me suspicious.

Laçais recognizes her lack of power, but she still rationalizes the cage as a test of faith:
Mikhail being a womanizer actually stung 😭 I really thought there was something genuine there with Minucia.
And Laçais clearly knows she has all the reverence of a High Priestess but none of the actual political power. A title, plenty of respect, and still a gilded cage she keeps convincing herself is a test of faith.
Then Valerie showing up at the end… of course 😭

Oh man, the ship is getting real and I’m so here for it 😂 Kayin really does use humor like armor whenever things get too emotional. Kimiko gives him that whole heartfelt speech and he immediately starts deflecting — he’s basically the Sybill in this relationship.
And casually discussing which head to take from the pile of bodies they left behind was chilling in its own way.
Then Reze is already there waiting for them at the end… these two seriously cannot catch a break.
