Have you read further than the prologue? Because the prologue was kept that way for a reason, and it gets less "reporty" as it goes on (at least I hope so). I do try to delve more into the characters and other things as it goes on, but you really hit the nail on the head. Plot. This novel is supposed to be plot heavy and I am planning on making revisions to the flow and style once I finish. I do prefer getting to the plot and being informational more than not doing so, but I do understand that there needs to be a balance. It might be better in first person or in another format, with more detail outside of plot, etc. However, I want to get the core story down before ironing out the finer details of the writing style.
So in short, thanks for the advice and I will try fixing it once the book is complete (I plan on writing all of part three before releasing them periodically, so I can do it even before I release them. In the meantime, for the rest of part two, I will attempt do fix what I can.
Do you have any other tips, or thoughts on how the overall story is so far if you have read subsequent chapters? (to avoid spoilers, you can post the comment/s on the chapter/s in question)
