I think for me where this shines is within those descriptions of the world and the surroundings that the two MC's reside within - the people, setting, history - all of it. However, there's times where the dialogue feels a bit too formal and restrained. Imo, maybe let the characters express a bit more and write their emotions a bit less stated and more inferred, and you really got something special
