Things are heating up with this chapter, a lot more action and drama in this
one than pretty much the rest of the series.
I like that the protagonist is actually growing as a character and becoming more of a decisive person, it makes it feel as if he is a real person or at the very least a more relatable character.
Also i'm glad this doesn't fall with the common trope in light novel-esque stories where the girls don't just have one trope. The way Marie is handled proves this as she doesn't feel like "just another childhood friend" and actually is determined to get with the MC and doesn't sit by the wayside as people make advances on him.
I cant wait to see what happens in the next chapter, what you have just built up in this chapter is grand.
