Chapter 11:

The Spark That Triggers Everything

Wolf Bloodline

---(Ryuu)---

When we realized we were in the midst of a battle, the sorcerer in front of us became enraged at our conduct, and had his actions cut between.

With Hiroshi's bullet piercing through his eye, he had dropped Pelena, which he was strangling so hard, started to fall to the ground, but she survived by my fast-acting and moves.

She had multiple dents and wounds on her body when she first landed, but she regained her half-lost consciousness after some time and became well. So that was a thing to be relieved of, I also realized that there were no dead people in the area I was standing and we were still all breathing in one piece.

And it was why I realized that it was too short a time for me to explain everything to Hiroshi, and realize that I needed to make a new plan with him as soon as possible.

And at that moment, already the sorcerer was already shouting at us because of his pain,

"What kind of fool you to be, to shoot me in my damn eye! Who do you think you are!? Who do you think you are to interfere with such a man like me!"

And scaringly enough, as he spoke, the hole in his eye was closed by the power of black sorcery, and regenerated with a new one.

This situation was quite disturbing to watch. His new eye, formed by the shedding of dirty blood from the sockets of his eyes and the formation of new veins from the inside, was almost like a dead creature coming back to life. And this, of course, indicated the power level of his black magic. Hiroshi and Pelena were already unhappy with this situation, and they were getting more nauseous with every move of the wizard either.

So then, Hiroshi looked at me, with a quick turn,

"Hey, Kid! We probably have no time, before this maniac does something else! So stop the other soldiers that are heading for the other civilians and ensure the safety of the people here! We don't know how powerful he is so we have to see what he can do before we can attack!"

"What are you going to do?"

"I will deal with the elite soldier, and see if I can find something dangerous about him! You just do what you have to do and come meet me again somewhere close here!"

"Okay, be careful! Hiroshi!"

"I'm trusting you on this Kid!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Hiroshi)

It didn't take long for Ryuu to leave the area we were in. He just ran all the way till that long road ended, and didn't care if he was breathing heavily or tiring himself.

It was just like a little kid to watch. Spinning and jumping around.

But he didn't seem desperate.

It was as if he was itching the want of saving others and ensuring that he was doing his job perfectly. He was just being himself at that moment. And was showing that side that he showed me earlier.

But a much better one. The best version of his actions.

The best version of himself. That was to get back and give back what he needed to.

I thought he had an obsession in his head. But this was an admirable feature, and even if it wasn't something I was interested in, he was putting in an effort more than the ones that promised to protect these people.

It was as if this boy did not know what he was doing, but still knew the ways to keep me on this battlefield because of my grateful debt to him.

But It wasn't my trust in this child, it was as if my faith in him inside me would pull me to this battlefield.

To the rope that I was holding on to to get rid of this boring life.

As his will was rising above all others.

After all, he really wanted to save the people who were there and not let them get harmed. That is why he was above none other in the affair we were in. And dealt just strong blows to their damn chins, with such fists and power.

And just then, when the sorcerer even started moving, he already had started running. And crossed the road, till he had disappeared from my and his sight.

And after the Kid left, I slowly approached the sorcerer, as he still mumbled about how his eye hurt,

"How can a pathetic normal human... Just a normal human like you, can do this!?" He shouted as his face turned with a face that had turned mad and was frowning viciously, "Do you really think pathetic people like you are capable of facing me!? Huh!?"

His words didn't scare me at all. I had seen so many men and soldiers falling down to their knees, even after going mad, so it was nothing special to face with.

And smilingly, I said, "You didn't look that tough after the hole I opened in your eye. It seems it hurts to be kicked down from your throne by a "pathetic normal human being." "

And with what I said, he was truly irritated about the existence that he so talked of hating.

Then he raised his head slightly and looked at me with very angry eyes with much wet with blood than earlier,

"I'm going to kill you! And even if it takes so many attempts, I will rip your joints out of your body!"

"Then show me watch you got, Partner."

And that was the final word, before he sharpened his little fingers with black sorcery, and attacked me with new ones that were sharper than a razor.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Ryuu)

And after Hiroshi kept the elite soldier busy, and I dropped the Pelena to safety, I started taking down the elite soldier's men one by one.

Together with the first person who came in front of me, he helped me push the other soldier's back closer to the ground, put my hand on the spine of another one, and kicked the other. So I went into the war suddenly, and I got people's attention on me.

At first, of course, because they all turned to me, I kind of saved people for a while, and I took the danger on myself. But even though this was a two-sided sword, the advantage created in the middle was more important to me.

During my stay in the air, the soldiers had not decided who would attack me first, and one of them tried decisively to land a blow by pointing his spear at me. Their fear caused them to be closed-eyed to danger, so even with this sharpened gun, which could even shatter my leg, I was one who gained an advantage just because of a second mistake they had done. And which I have been training myself for months, could not turn it upside down on my reflex that could pretend much bigger attacks than this.

So I steered myself clearly in the air, and sliding the spear from the back of my waist, I grabbed the soldier's shoulder.

There were two soldiers standing to his right and left, and the position and distance of both were exactly close to each other. However, he continued to misjudge the situation so that when someone attacked him for adjusting his posture incorrectly, he would be more compared to the other. The other soldier was already thinking about whether he should stop making the move to the other or to himself out of fear. That's when I stepped on someone's spear and dealt him a solid blow to the head.

Thus, others already he's upset and angry with me, at me in the air once more, turning his spear to strike a heavy blow on the head and when I took both challenges, jump up and caused the shock of the spears at each other, and the first military, when they get together behind them and took a solid blow to all of them through to their back and bottom, knocked out with a kick.

At the same time, when I was fighting, the witches in the village helped me. And one of the witches, while he looked at his wounded chief, he started shouting,

"We must take him out of the middle of the war!"

It was a young magician standing there, a man that looked like he was in his twenties.

That he had suffered a severe blow to the cheekbone, which had plenty of blood on the sides of his mouth. And so much so that he didn't care about his pain and only cared that the chief was safe.

At that moment, he himself was very helpless on the battlefield. There was no witch descendant of any kind around him who could help him, or anyone who had developed himself as a doctor. As I didn't know any medical information, my empathy for his helplessness made me pay attention to him.

And with much strange and sorrowful feeling, I shouted to the witch, "You stay back! And protect the village! I'll protect your chief!"

Saving this village was now a cause and purpose that had been one of the biggest steps before we reached our next goal, since there was no possibility of me trying to accept or make myself accept a person would happen to hurt a friend of my uncle.

Pelena was the only person that helped me survive that day, just like my uncle, and I couldn't let her and the people that she care for die.

*I can not let so many people's futures go for nothing!*

And after I said those words, I quickly went to the chief and immediately took him on my back.

I took him on my back and took great care of how I carried him, as his body was covered with wounds. If he had a broken bone, it could have come into contact with his skin and cut an important vein, causing him to bleed to death, as it could have been a closed or open fracture.

But it so happened that even when people were dying cruelly, there was something that the chief was trying to tell me, that he wanted me to hear, with all those pain he carried in his body,

"Ryuu... You..."

"Chief, calm down, I'll take you somewhere safe. You can tell me whatever you want to tell there."

The elite soldiers came after me again, even though I didn't attack them, and followed me till they caught me and the chief.

But I was so eager to not leave the chief at that moment, that I gradually found myself kicking and punching the elite soldiers in front of me. As they all moved at different speeds, it also helped me to kick all of them more efficiently and I was able to keep my pace away and faster from them, as I was able to protect the chief with more swift moves and turning my back again and again to a safer place.

I was carrying the chief on my back, and on the other hand, I was responding to them with my kicks and fists, and trying to fight them. And at last, I jumped high and ran away without giving the Chief much response so that he wouldn't get hurt.

Fortunately, there was a lot of decimation between the place where I landed after jumping, which would have prevented the soldiers, and helped us to catch our breaths.

Earlier, I thought there might be an explosion that occurred, the boards and bricks in the area where we were were also destroyed, and it had set up wall-like protection for us.

So, like Pelena, I was able to leave the Chief somewhere safe.

And since now I was able to fight better, I looked out for Hiroshi, and saw that their fight with Jixus, had begun to grow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Hiroshi)

At the time of our fight, none of the movements I made were flexible enough.

Jixus's power after black magic, as if it gave him more speed, made him five or six times faster during the time we fought. It made him much faster, it became unbearable to just keep up with his movements.

I was doing what I was able to, and blocking only a few of his attacks with only the metal parts of the weapons I had in my hand, pushing him back with my kicks, and using the power of my weapons and my aiming ability. I had to plan and take him down as fast I as can, if I wanted to catch up with the kid. But hence his speed was above my expectations, it was going to be a very long time for me.

If I had tried an imminent attack against him, I could have died there at that moment or continued an unnecessary fight with a severe wound. And for me, the second option was worse than the first.

So as we battled, I tried to keep him away from me, and tried to find the proper vulnerabilities.

But as crazy as he was, he didn't stop there for me to just sit on my back and wander around boxes.

Every time he caught me from an angle and tried to land solid blows on me, using the speed he had against me, aiming at my heart with deadly glances. Making me think that he was just aiming for my heart because he was crazy, but it turned out to be worse than I thought.

When he first attacked me, he tried throwing one foot forward and throwing a claw blow as he bent his chest and head. At that time, I stepped back and stepped on his foot, and turning the guns quickly, I dealt him several blows to the head and dealt him heavy blows on both sides. Then I kicked him and made him go backward and fired two shots. However, he escaped from both of them and got behind me this time. I knew it would be good if I turned towards him and tried to shoot. It was the only effective way. But when I was doing something like this, I could absurdly get a claw blow from him. So I bent down, not risking anything, and I turned around and tried to shoot at him.

I managed to get him away by shooting a few bullets and letting him escape me while I was shooting at him. Thus, when he came back again for his next move, he would have even more difficulty seeing his moves because he was even angrier. So every time he tried to hit me with a blow, even if he trusted his speed and passed me, all I had to do was beat him in his own logic game, because he would aim for the wrong points. Again and again, he could not keep up his blows on me, and each time he grew angrier. He was losing control of himself so much, it was like there was nothing he wanted except to kill me. But since it is now written in my head to survive in the deserts with such an attitude, the arrival of idiots who could not control their emotions on the battlefield was just a nervous breakdown for me and a futile effort. So I fended him off with simple moves and pushed him aside and kept shooting.

And then, out of anger, he jumped on me one last time, and he took action. But just then, when he thought he knew I was going to aim, I bent down once more, and aimed for the points where the chest and head were open, just as he had done. As the one who could slow him down the most severely and he would be more distracted because he would be out of breath, I aimed for his throat, and dealt him a heavy blow with the hilt of my gun. Then I hit him hard in the fucking face, and I finally knocked him down.

But there was a strange atmosphere.

Just as I was releasing the hilts of my weapons from my sweaty hands so that I could breathe and breathe, I realized that the damn man's body had not moved. Normally, I wouldn't be interested in a person I knocked out too hard lying on the floor like this. But it was already as interesting as it should have been, when a creature that had just attacked me seconds earlier suddenly fainted on the floor.

I knew a strong person like him doesn't get knocked down so easily, so I approached him carefully, and gripped my gun as hard as I can either way.

And while I was trying to get up and walk towards him, he started talking,

"My power is running out. I can't fight anymore."

I didn't understand what was even coming out of his mouth, but I still walked and got ready to put him down,

"It's over now. Surrender or it will be worse for both of us."

"You're right, I'm sorry. I, I...

At that point, he grabbed my leg and stopped me from fleeing. His cold and strong hand gripped me and didn't let go with a much bigger force than the one that he gained over the time we fought against each other. I was even shocked that his bare hands would put me in such a desperate position and wouldn't let me move like I was stuck on the ground like glue. It was obvious that he was so angry, that he was gritting his teeth while looking at me.

It was him and me. We're both eager to put each other down or, at the very least, land a punch on the jackasses that we were.

But him, oh boy, he was making me angrier with those looks that he had.

And just then, he pulled off another move from his body.

He opened his mouth and looked at me, with all that blackness carrying out from his eyes, and his mouth wide open with the same black fog coming out. At first, I thought I could prevent him from covering me with that, and I desperately pointed my gun at his eye, to put another hole in the other eye that I wished so badly that I couldn't. But black magic sprang from his mouth so quickly, and it hit me across the face, I was just left with staying there and just crawling through the danger he put me through.

It didn't hurt me. But it made it difficult to see, and was quick enough to make me worry. It was like a power that choked a human, but the only thing that was tangible and needed to be worried about, was that my vision was fading.

And as he stopped me from moving, he then grinned and hit me square in the gut.

With the force of the punch, I flew backward uncontrollably, falling somewhere that I instantly felt a great pain that pierced through my shoulder. And as I tried to turn my head to see what was happening, I saw that there was a pointy piece of a log against the wall, just hitting my shoulder enough to go through.

And not to carefully look at it, the pain directly hit me.

And because of the pain, I couldn't move.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Ryuu)

As I was walking around, I realized that I was almost out of breath. I've been looking for Hiroshi for a very long time, and I've been to the point where I'm dying of curiosity about what's going on. However, at that moment, my thoughts turned into reality, and I saw Hiroshi in a very difficult situation. He was writhing in pain, stuck in the wall with a piece of a log that had pierced most of his shoulder. The black outfit he was wearing was covered with blood and dust, and he was trying to get himself out of that pathetic situation by moving from side to side with his hands full of pain.

And as I got near him, this caused me to shout and gather the attention of the enemy to me,

"Hiroshi! Hold on just a little longer! I'll get you out of here and get you to safety!"

Hiroshi grabbed the log on his shoulder and tried to remove it. But as he tried to pull it out, he talked back to me,

"No, Kid this is my fight. Get out of here!"

But I couldn't just leave him. Even if he had asked me to take the war in a better direction and save people in no time, I could not have created the time that would have been possible for me to get people to safety without stopping this man, and I would have just left him for dead and subjected him to a fatal blow that he could not escape from where he stood still.

"I can't leave you like this, Hiroshi!"

I quickly approached him, and avoided any kind of sound from distracting me,

And grabbed him by the arm, I tried to pull him.

"Hiroshi, hang on! This will hurt a little, but you will get rid of this log!"

"Pull me then!"

I pulled Hiroshi out in one go, and once again helped him to get back to his feet.

He took heavy steps, holding his injured shoulder, and limping a little. But before he could walk much, he got down on his knees and spat blood once more, causing him to fasten up the blood loss that he had.

He had lost a lot of blood by this time. Liters of blood had flowed out of his body and certain vein points had been damaged before being opened excessively. So since the war began, along with the blows that had formed on his body, these vein points had accelerated more and brought the blood loss to the point as fast as possible with the opening of the wounds and exposed his body to recover more slowly.

And the only thing he could hold on to was that despite his injury and his inability to see, he still tried to continue, but could not get up from the ground.

He just had the will to continue.

"Hiroshi, you are injured, you have to rest." I said, while still trying to lift his body, which fell to the ground so easily.

"I have to get up, Kid. You know we have to get rid of him."

But after those words, he unwillingly passed out,

"Hiroshi? Hiroshi!?"

He didn't reply to me. I saw that, his eyes were closed, and knew he wasn't going to be up for a long moment.

So carrying him desperately, I carried him somewhere safe.

"I will take care of him Hiroshi, please rest enough."

After I left there I quickly searched for him. I found him in a short time. He was about to attack innocent witches. I arrived on time and saved them.

"Is anyone injured?"

The little girl said, "No, thank you for saving us."

"Get out of here and find a place to hide quick."

I stood before him and looked at him with anger.

"You have hurt a person I care about, so I will never forgive you."

"You don't have to be angry, your friend deserved it because he went against my work. "

After our conversation, we started attacking each other.

I attacked with my fists, my kicks, my knees, and my elbows, and without giving him any opportunity I continued attacking. After a while, he couldn't stop my attacks.

After I punched him in the face a couple of times, I pulled him to me, holding his throat, and I kicked him hard in the stomach. I hit him so hard, that he started spitting involuntarily out of his mouth.

When he bent down because of my kick, I joined both hands and delivered a solid blow to his back. He then quickly crashed to the ground. After he landed on the ground I approached him. He tried to do the same thing again. When I realized he was about to do the same thing I covered his mouth and landed a punch in his throat. Because of my punch, he couldn't do the same thing.

When he tried to get up I kicked him.

He started to breathe roughly, then he turned to me. I saw the fear in his eyes.

"Who are you?"
