Chapter 1:

Chapter 1 Raikou Haru

Phantasm Project

Not long after walking down from the train station, Haru finds herself in the middle of a busy morning street filled with people including students with the same uniform as Haru’s.

Shops, buildings, roads, and even street signs are distinctly different from what Haru has seen in her hometown. Straight out of a science fiction movie they are designed to be clean, simple but still packed with many quality of life improvements. Holograms display and sign showing information such as the news and weather, robots, and drones roaming the streets alongside people and flying around in the sky delivering packages or showing different advertisements.

“Woah….” she muttered in awe

Haru continues to walk towards her school while her eyes spun around all over the place as she tries to keep up with everything in the surrounding. Curiosity and excitement fill her mind even more than when she saw all of these from the sky train.

*GRRR…..*

However, Haru is interrupted by her stomach growling, reminding her that she hasn't eaten anything since she boarded the sky train.

“Well then, might as well grab something to eat. There’s still plenty of time”

She looked around and noticed a familiar convenience store with its common red, green and blue palette that she has been to many times back in her hometown so she decided to grab something to eat there.

In the store, Haru notices immediately that there's so much more stuff, ranging from onigiri, bento sets, cold sandwiches to rice dishes. The option of eatery here just simply dwarfs anywhere Haru has been before. Without hesitation, she started looking around the shelf with ready-to-go food.

After looking around the store, she decided to go for her favorites, Yakisoba bun, and orange juice, to her surprise the bun feels warm like it's freshly made even though it's probably been sitting in the store for a while.

After paying at the counter, Haru took a seat inside the store to have her quick meal, and after taking her first bite.

“Mhhhh!! yummm! The bun is soft and warm likes it just came out of the oven and the yakisoba tastes just like something freshly made from the food stances on the streets”

She can’t help but finish it in just a few bites, even the orange juice tastes just like a fresh seasonal orange though it’s summer right now.

A few minutes later Haru is back walking hastily on the streets again, the school is only a few blocks away from where she is.

“This place just keeps me amazed every single second, no wonder why all of my classmates wanted to come here,” she muttered

It has been about an hour since Haru arrived in Tokyo and finally, she is there, T.S.I (Tokyo Specialization Institution), a school built just 1 year ago, which recently opened its doors to all of Japan. A school far bigger, more complex, and advanced than any other school in the world right now. Focusing on preparing students for the future development of humanity. It has a unique curriculum where the first half of the day is just like any normal high school but after that, the students can take part in many different courses that focus on jobs and careers; ranging from languages, science, engineering to even idol and most importantly for Haru, emergency response course.

From the gate of the school, she can see that there are many students also arriving, different buildings connecting from one to another, a large field for different sports and activities, and three separate large dormitories which are on the right side of the school. That’s where most of the new students are going. The school builds those dormitories when they announce that the school is open for students from all over the country.

Haru didn’t hesitate at all and headed straight over there, excited about the dormitory in which she will spend the rest of her school years, a low-rise building decorated in clean white and blue shades which are the school’s colors. On top of her fascination with the place, Haru is constantly thinking about meeting a new roommate who would naturally become her first new friend after moving here.

“Room 137 huh? So that’s the first building, the third floor, and the seventh room..” Haru looked at her phone to check for her room.

“Your ID please.” Upon entering the building she was greeted by the dorm supervisor.

Haru fumbles around her phone for a few seconds, tapping before finally finding her necessary documents. Luckily, there wasn't any rush since most of the students had already sorted out their parts.

After showing her information, Haru quickly heads up the stairs right to the third floor. The hallway was rather busy with a couple of students already meeting and greeting their new roommates.

Haru couldn’t care less and started rushing forward, almost like an excited wolf moving to rejoin their pack even though running down the hall is restricted. Avoiding the student left and right as best as she can, although despite that her excitement will always get the better of her.
