Chapter 22

I opened my eyes slowly, this time.

For some reason, something tasted bad in my mouth.

Before I even focused my sight on what was in front of me, I closed my eyes again.

I heard a loud noise, but I ignored it.

Again, and again, loud noises kept trying to get past my ears.

The back of my head hit the floor.

It’s way too noisy.

It’d be nice if the noise was gone.

The cup I had properly washed fell on my face and broke. It still smelled like soap.

I like the soap we use. It smells like apples.

I like apples.

…?

There is no more noise?

Oh well…

<<Thud>>

My shoulder hit the fridge corner. I noticed because it was cold.

Come to think of it, what about the cat? Wasn’t he sleeping on my lap?

I thought of opening my eyes and look for him, but I stopped before I did that.
