Chapter 26:
To you, the wishing girl
I suddenly felt a huge pressure on my stomach.
A sharp pain.
The ache was so bad, it forced me to open my eyes in one go.
“Guh-” - My voice sounded hoarse.
I panted heavily while looking at the floor, while sitting on my legs. I could feel cold sweat going down my neck.
“Ah…h…hh…” - My throat is burning. I wonder why?
It took me a while to realize, it was too quiet.
I couldn’t even hear the clock tictacs this time.
But, for some reason, I couldn’t look up.
I was terrified.
Why?
Because, the floor is not the kitchen’s floor.
If so, then I was probably in my room.
But what if it was not?
It was a very old floor.
…?
There was a black stain on the floor. It looked like a hand-print.
I felt a cold goosebump going down my spine.
It’s bad to be dirty.
If this is indeed my room, then it’s very bad.
I bit my lip and held my breath.
I closed my eyes shut for a second, before lifting my head and opening them again.
I scanned the room with my eyes like a man possessed.
It was indeed my room, the same as always.
However…
The room was covered in those black stains.
Hand-prints, foot-prints.
Arm-prints, leg-prints.
It was like if some kid had played around with a rubber stamp, and decided to cover his new toy with stamp markings.
The black stains made me nauseous.
It looked like wounds, or maybe holes.
I felt dizzy, so I looked down.
My palm was all covered in black. It was like my hand was the stamp.
I turned around my other hand.
Again, it was covered in black.
Startled, I checked the rest of my body.
…
Indeed, all of my body was a stamp.
