Chapter 179: Destructive Clash

Narrator: Sasha has entered Blood Magic and her battle against Kogen will now further ramp up! The destruction could be overwhelming!

Sasha: I’m going to destroy you!

Kogen: You may have entered Blood Magic but you still are not as powerful as me! I will prove that!

*Sasha and Kogen charge at each and try to punch each other. Their punches clash and tie in power*

Kogen: It’s the same!?

*They both do another punch and this time, they punch each other in the face. Both of them take damage from the other’s punch*

*Sasha jumps back and Kogen chases after her*

Sasha: We’re even it looks like…

Kogen: Nonsense!! You aren’t as strong as me!!

*Kogen attempts a punch but Sasha jumps to dodge and then she kicks him in the face*

Kogen: Get a taste of this!

*Kogen steps back and fires a barrage of laser beams out of his fingers. Sasha deflects them all with rapid movements of her hand*

Sasha: Maybe you should be the one tries tasting my attacks instead!

*Sasha charges and does a quick diagonal motion with her hand causing a diagonal slash of darkness to be released from the ground. Kogen jumps to the side to dodge*

Kogen: You’re not the only one who can avoid attacks!

Sasha: There’s more to my attack.

Kogen: Hm?

*Sasha does a quick dash towards Kogen and grabs him. She then slams him to the floor and creates a dark spear that she intends to stab Kogen with it*

Sasha: I prefer piercing with my hand but my spear will stop you from moving while I torture you.

*Kogen smiles and then opens his mouth. A red energy beam is released and Sasha is shocked*

Sasha: From your mouth!?

*The beam hits Sasha and blows her off of Kogen, allowing him to get up*

*Kogen starts to form powerful energy in his hands and it takes the shape of an arrow. Sasha forms a ball of black energy that has blood mixed in it*

Kogen: Will your power be able to stop this!?

*Zeth opens his eyes wide in serious concern*

Zeth: Everyone!! Take cover!!!

*The heroes that are not fighting duck for cover knowing how powerful these magic blasts will be*

Kogen: Try not to get vaporized by my attack! I will turn you into an Enigmus! That will be my ultimate revenge on the Dark Goddess!

Sasha: Go ahead and try not to kill me, because I’m not holding back!!

*Kogen and Sasha release their magic energy blasts at each other and their attacks collide*

*Neither magic energy is able to overpower the other and they explode. The explosion is massive and a large chunk of the fortress is completely destroyed*

*The sky is dark with clouds and there is a storm with lightning and rain*

*Kogen and Sasha still stand but with some damage and their clothes are ripped*

Kogen: It looks like both of us made it out of the attack without severe injuries.

*Kogen smirks*

Kogen: But what about your friends? Did you forget about them?

*Sasha opens her eyes wide in realization*

Sasha: Zeth! Kurt! Emily! Joe! Keith! Please tell me you are all okay!!

*Zeth pulls himself out of a pile of rubble*

Zeth: …I’m fine! Is everyone else okay!?

*The other non-participating heroes also get themselves out of the rubble*

Kurt: Yeah… I think so.

Joe: Just… barely hanging in here.

Emily: That was too close, honestly. Keith, you should have taken us into a portal.

Keith: Sorry, there wasn’t time to get everyone into a portal.

*Sasha breathes a sigh of relief*

Sasha: Thank goodness…

*Kogen smiles as he stares at Sasha*

Kogen: Your friends got lucky. Good for you. However, your luck will soon run out.

*Sasha has a slightly angry look on her face as she stares at Kogen*

Sasha: You are a fool if you think you will actually defeat me.

Kogen: Still trying to downplay my power, eh? Look around you! This destruction wasn’t done by one person! Our powers are literally and figuratively through the roof! This storm… What a wonderful setting for our battle.

*Sasha’s hair blows around a bit because of the storm’s winds*

Kogen: Your blood hair looks quite nice in the darkness of this storm.

Sasha: Compliments aren’t going to prevent your demise.

*Kogen holds his hands out and looks at the sky as the rain pours down*

Kogen: Rain… Such a great atmosphere for a climactic battle.

Sasha: More like a perfect way to send you to your grave. Enough talk! I’m going to obliterate you!

*Sasha charges at Kogen and tries to punch him but he blocks the punch. Sasha spins to the side and tries another punch and he blocks that too*

*Sasha them jumps over Kogen and kicks him in the back. Sasha releases a black energy ball that hits Kogen as soon as he turns around to face her. The ball explodes upon contact*

*The blast knocks Kogen into a partially standing wall that collapses once he hits it*

Sasha: Your insides will be carved out!!

*Sasha rushes in and tries to pierce Kogen’s chest with her right hand but Kogen grabs her arm to stop the attack. However, Sasha then immediately uses her other hand and punches Kogen hard in the gut, causing Kogen to cough up blood*

Sasha: (Thinking) Now’s my chance!

*Before Sasha can attempt piercing Kogen’s chest again, Kogen swipes at her but she jumps back to avoid the attack. Kogen stands up*

Sasha: You have stopped me from piercing you and carving out your insides but you won’t win like this.

Kogen: What!?

Sasha: Give up on your goal to capture me and Zeth. Unless you fight to kill me, you won’t beat me.

Kogen: What you say is insane! There is nothing I can’t accomplish! Your divine power is still undeveloped so don’t act all high and mighty!

Sasha: Sticking to your goal, I can assure you that you won’t leave alive.

*Kogen looks very angry*

Narrator: While their battle continues to rage on, Goma had found a staircase in the fortress that leads outside after the massive explosion destroyed most of the fortress. Goma has been observing the recent developments of this battle.

*Goma hides behind some rubble in the distance*

Goma: (Thinking) Another divine being? It’s time to watch and see if she can take down Kogen.

Narrator: With Blood Magic, Sasha matches even with Kogen at 100% of his power. Now how will the fight develop?
