Chapter 197: Team Crimson Heart

Narrator: Zeth’s battle against Chop Claw continues and he readies a new attack!

*Not willing to take chances, CC rushes towards Zeth and tries to chop him multiple times. Zeth’s attack is not ready so he has to dodge the attacks*

Zeth: Can’t you just wait for my attack to be ready!?

Chop Claw: I’m not stupid enough to let my enemy prepare an attack!

*Zeth kicks CC back as he continues to power up his attack. The kick doesn’t slow CC that much as he rushes towards Zeth again*

*CC jumps and then wraps his tail around Zeth’s neck and starts to choke him*

Chop Claw: I don’t know what your attack is but I will not let you get it off!

*Zeth’s powering of his attack stalls as he struggles to stop CC from choking him*

*Zeth ends up biting CC’s tail, forcing CC to unwrap. Zeth then kicks CC away again and does it harder this time*

Zeth: It’s just about ready!

Chop Claw: No!

*Zeth finishes powering his attack as CC gets up. Zeth thrusts his arms forward and the powered stars move and surround CC in a circular fashion. The circle of stars goes up about 20 feet in the air*

Chop Claw: Damn it!

Zeth: I’m going to finish you!

*CC tries to run out of the circle of stars but Zeth’s magic energy powering the stars acts as a barrier and prevents him from leaving. CC looks up and sees a smaller circle of stars spinning above the opening up top*

Chop Claw: What is this!?

Zeth: It’s called Heaven’s Ray. Only those with Light Divine Energy can use this attack. In other words, you must be an angel, the Light God or Goddess, be blood-related to the Light God or Goddess, or be a light divine being to use it. I fit that bill.

Chop Claw: So you think you’re special or something!?

Zeth: I’ve given it another thought and I have decided that if you give up, I will spare you.

*CC spits at Zeth. Zeth is not amused*

Chop Claw: Not on your life! Trash!

Zeth: So be it. Heaven’s Ray!!

*A purple ray of energy is released downward from the spinning stars*

*The ray destroys CC piece by piece*

Chop Claw: Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!

*The ray ends and there is nothing but dust left of CC’s body. The crowd cheers at CC’s demise*

Zonbi: The winner is Zeth! Team “Heaven’s Destiny” moves on to the next round!

*Zeth walks back to his team*

Sasha: Awesome job!

Emily: That was an awesome attack!

Keith: It was certainly an attack to drink to.

Emily: An attack to drink to? You may need to cut back on the alcohol.

Joe: You could destroy any opponent using that attack!

Zeth: Well, it takes a lot of preparation so it’s not an attack I can use in most battles.

*Zeth notices that Kurt is not there*

Zeth: Where is Kurt?

Emily: His injuries required medical attention. He may not be available for the next round.

Zeth: If that’s the case, we’re going to need to be more strategic in the next round. Let’s watch the remainder of this round.

*The heroes watch from the crowd as the remaining teams fight. Zeth has a serious expression as he watches*

Zeth: (Thinking) What team are you on, Crimson? We’re not leaving this tournament without finally settling our consumption.

Narrator: After watching the remainder of the first round, it was the last match that caught the heroes’ attention.

Zonbi: The last match of the first round is here! It’s “Crimson Heart” versus “Gale Force”!

*The teams walk onto the arena. Crimson is on the team*

Narrator: Captain of Team “Crimson Heart” – Crimson.

*Zeth focuses on Crimson*

Zeth: So that’s the team Crimson is on? Well, I guess the team name makes sense.

Narrator: The first match features Crimson Heart’s Breakneck. He may or may not be a demon.

*Breakneck is a 6-foot-tall man that is muscular, wears no shirt, looks drunk, and has black hair that isn’t long going down the back of his head but strands go down to his nose on the front of his head*

*Breakneck punches his humanoid opponent and the bones break and then the head completely breaks off*

Zonbi: Breakneck is the winner! Crimson Heart takes the first match!

Narrator: The second match features Crimson Heart’s Nasan. She also may or may not be a demon.

*Nasan is a 6-foot-tall woman, who has unkempt long black hair that goes out in many directions, she looks crazy*

*Nasan pierces her opponent’s body with her hand and rips out his intestines*

Zonbi: That was absolutely gruesome but also awesome!! Nasan wins the match!

Narrator: The third match features Crimson Heart’s Kudo.

*Kudo is a demon with a human appearance. He has kempt black hair and wears a suit and tie. He has sharp teeth and pointy ears*

*Kudo does a combo of punches and kicks to his opponent before doing one final punch that releases a lot of energy and blows a hole in his opponent’s stomach*

Zonbi: You can never go wrong with blowing a hole in your enemy’s body!! Kudo wins and gives Crimson Heart there third win in a row!!

Narrator: The fourth match features Crimson Heart’s Yoru.

*Yoru is a female that’s features are hidden underneath a dark blanket. She is also floating so she just looks like a dark floating blanket*

*Yoru flies above and on top of her opponent. The next thing everybody knows, the opponent’s upper body is completely gone*

Zonbi: I have no idea what Yoru did but her opponent is missing his opponent and is now dead!! Yoru wins!! Crimson Heart is closing in on victory!!

Narrator: The fifth match features Crimson Heart’s Izado. He may or may not be a demon.

*Izado is a man that is 6 feet, 4 inches tall who wears black armor and a cape. He has black hair and a full black beard*

*Izado uses magic to create a giant block in the air and then uses it to smash his opponent*

Zonbi: Ouch!! That had to hurt!! Izado smashes his way to victory!! Crimson Heart is one win away from victory!!

Narrator: The final match features Crimson.

*Crimson looks more concentrated than usual. He sticks his hand into the titles of the arena and then suddenly underneath the tiles that his opponent stands on blow from underneath and the opponent has to jump*

*Crimson makes the tile blow into pieces but the pieces fly at a fast speed towards the opponent and cut him to pieces*

Zonbi: This was a fast one folks! Team “Crimson Heart” advances to the next round easily! The next round starts in two days!

Zeth: Damn. His team is far more skilled than the one we fought. How did Crimson put together such an impressive team? Even Crimson looks far more skilled than he was before.

Sasha: Not only that, he fought without saying a single word.

Zeth: You’re right. Every time we have seen him, he’s very arrogant and talkative. Did he undergo some self-reflection?

Narrator: Zeth’s team has advanced but it is also clear that his team will face much more challenging opponents going forward!
