Prologue

I seemed to be in a hospital bed lying with a Venturi mask over my mouth. I also had some cotton bandages and other medical wires running through my hands and nose. These wires were really irritating and itchy. I had another partner with me. He had his neck and legs broken, maybe fractured. It must have been painful to break them and keep lying in the hospital for weeks. We could say the same thing about me, I have been lying here for 3 days. It really is painful.

My breathing was out of control. It was fast and slow at the same time. It was kind of suffocating.

My mind wandered off and suddenly I started thinking about her. Her laughs, her cries, her paintings, her crystalline eyes as bright as the sky and yet, as dark as the sky. Filled with all the blues- dark, light, bright, deep blues. She had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen.

As soon as I had ingested all the medications and syringes, I fell asleep and I saw every moment of her and my life as if it were a dream. All those memories flashed before my eyes just like people say, 'your life flashes before your eyes as you are dying. I also had the thought of believing for a moment. For a minute or so I assumed that I was dead, but the memories were so painful and vibrant that I wished I could stay in this limbo forever. Then I saw the memory of her sobbing while she had said those final few words to me. However,t that part was blurry I couldn't see or hear much of it behind my closed eyelids. That was the part I really wanted to know more about and find out, why she said that to me. I don't recall what happened after but some time later my memory brought back to me those memories from that fateful day. It wanted me to know as much as I wanted to know it. I saw everything from the start and now have finished the rerun reels of my life thrice. After the flashes, I fantasized about all the moments we had spent together and what happened to me the night she left me with that broken smile.
