I'm always a sucker for stories based around seasonality and change, and I feel like your controversial new style really suits the depth of feeling in this. I loved how evocative it was throughout. Overall, it feels like the experiment it is, which is to say you really pulled off the extremely atmospheric style of writing at the cost of parts where the external story had kinda dodgy pacing. But there were moments of true gorgeousness in this, and I think this reflective, heavily intimate style of storytelling is definitely something that I'd love to see more of! :D
