Chapter 646: All I See Is Crystals

Narrator: Continuing with the final stages of Pearl’s battle against Wally.

Wally’s voice echoes around the room. “Be prepared for I will soon destroy you!”

Pearl begins charging her magic and shouts, “Not at all! In fact, these will be your final moments!”

Crystals emerge from the floor all around Pearl, as well as under her feet, as all of Wally’s vines ready themselves to attack.

Wally’s voice echoes around the room in determination. “All of my vines will attack! All of them! You can’t hold off that many vines!!”

The crystals that surround Pearl came up at a diagonal angle to protect Pearl from above. She is completely enclosed by her crystals.

Pearl confidently states, “If you think your vines can break through this crystal defense, just go ahead and try.”

Wally’s voice echoes around the room. “I will gladly do that!”

Wally’s vines start pounding the crystals that protect Pearl. The crystals remain strong after the first wave of attacks.

Pearl thinks to herself while being a bit nervous. (“My crystals are strong but they certainly won’t hold up forever. I should be thankful that he doesn’t seem to use attacks stronger than vines. Still, there are a lot of them. I have to ready my Crystal Sanctum attack soon!”)

The vines continue to pound the crystals that protect Pearl.

Wally’s voice echoes around the room as he laughs in amusement. “Hehehehehe!! You are just a sitting duck! All you can do is wait until your crystals shatter and then you will die!!”

As the vines continue to slam into the crystals, a crack starts to appear on one.

Pearl grits her teeth as she thinks to herself. (“It’s too soon! I need a little more time! Come on! Hold up! Hold up!!)

Wally’s voice echoes around the room. “It won’t be much longer now!”

As the vines continue slamming into the crystals, more and more cracks start to appear on the crystals.

Pearl thinks to herself in distress. (“Come on!! Just a little more!!! It’s nearly ready!!!”)

Wally’s voice echoes around the room. “This is it!! This is where I become victorious and you die!!!”

The crystals begin to shatter, exposing Pearl. Her magic aura is intense. She grits her teeth with determination and anger.

Pearl yells, “It’s ready!! Take this!! Crystal Santuuuuuuuuuummmmmm!!!!!”

Suddenly, everything in the room except Pearl turns to a mix of clear pink and purple colors. The vines also stop moving, almost like time has stopped.

Pearl yells, “Become a world of crystals!!”

Everything in the room that has changed color now also changes into crystals, including the vines.

Wally screams in pain which echoes around the room. “Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!”

Pearl looks around and sees Wally pierced and encased in a clear crystal. He loses a lot of blood that flows out from his new pierce wounds. Blood also flows out from his mouth. His eyes are wide open but shaking.

Wally just mutters, “All I see… is crystals…”

The crystal encasing Wally shatters and his body starts to lifelessly fall to the crystal floor. By the time his body lands on the floor, he is already dead.

Pearl is breathing heavily and she drops on one knee. She is significantly exhausted.

Pearl says with exhaustion, “I won… but at a major cost to my ability to fight any more enemies. Still, I need to catch up to Prince Zeth. I will still do anything that I need to do in order to help him defeat Daren. I wonder how much my Crystal Sanctum affected other rooms of this pyramid…”

Pearl slowly stands up and tries to start running. However, she loses her balance and trips, falling face down on the floor. She pounds the crystal floor with her fist as she states with frustration, “Come on… I may be exhausted but not so much that I can’t move myself out of this room.”

Pearl slowly stands up again. After a minute, she is fully standing again. This time, instead of running, she just walks. She wobbles a bit but is able to keep enough of her balance to continue walking. As she reaches the exit of the room, she looks at Wally’s dead body and says with calm exhaustion, “You were too reliant on hiding within your vines. You probably would have won if you developed other abilities.”

Pearl turns her focus to leaving the room. She states, “All right, there is no need to linger here any longer. Prince Zeth, I’ll try to catch up as soon as possible.”

Narrator: Pearl has defeated Wally!
