Tell me something, why you love a character in a story?

Is it not because you're obsessing over the development of the moral of the character?

What if I am to tell you a story where the main character never evolves?

What if I say everything that is to happen, the character; he pays nothing, he does nothing, just from the start till the end he is only going to have fun!

Now the question is, will you ever be able to love a character like this?
