It was a good read! I enjoyed quite a bit and it made for a comfortable little adventure.
If I had to offer any critiques I'd agree with Kaze, and would have liked Suvi to be a bit more developed. Hopefully a future expansion to the story or sequel could do just that! On another note, it seemed like Max and Frey dropped out near the end. Frey, given his character, I can see, but it seemed like Max might have had more of a role to play, maybe even just helping him find Annika after talking to professor juni. I'm just going off the cuff here, so you can ignore if it is not helpful.
All in all, it was a good story. I think you did a good job showing kwans struggles, and though the character he starts as would be a less than ideal one to root for, you do a good job is garnering empathy for him.
