Thank you so much for this comment; I just-
I actually had to close out of Honeyfeed for a second just to process this because I had no words - I mean I still have no words but I'll try my best!
I'm happy to see someone who loves the space as much as me just gush about all the little vtubery things; I'm pretty immersed in this space, with many of my friends being vtubers themselves and I guess being a virtual person myself. As a writer, it just felt like the most natural thing to write about.
So many of the fans I talk to are completely fine, albeit very self aware about exactly how cringe they are and embrace it, I wanted to write Akira like that - someone relatable yet cringe, someone a little snarky but well-intentioned.
As for the future of the novel, I'm super excited for you to see it. Along the way we will tackle some very unique issues to the vtuber space, as well as a whole bunch that aren't even immediately obvious to a lot of people who enjoy vtubers - some behind the scenes knowledge if you will. My goal is to relate to the vtubers out there and make their struggles feel noticed, along with allowing fans of vtubers to find something they can really resonate with, a culture they understand well.
I feel like this went from you gushing to me gushing; I may be AkuaSenpai but to me you're the senpai here and I really appreciate you taking the time to read my novel and offer your thoughts and feedback. Maybe you're HarmonicaSensei!
Now, time to go back through these last few chapters and fix these singular-plural errors.
