Thanks ! Honestly I just want people to read my stuff so I've already reached my goal lol.
It worked really well, especially since it was a proactive move on her part to verify if he was Gem or not. I have found one thing that helps me with typos. Especially ones where I just accidently use the wrong word so spell check doesn't detect it, is to take a break Do something else for at least twenty minutes and come back to do a reread where I am not thinking of rewriting anything.
Uhmm I think at the end she meant to say trust me, not thrust me. Unless you are going in a more "Adult" direction, lol.
Between this and that early chapter of Undercurrent you really do melee combat well!
I am only a couple chapters into Undercurrent, but I really like how all these stories intertwine.

I was worried the jump was kind of lackluster. I wanted it to be concise, but I think I over did it lol.

Interesting noir approach It has a looming apocalyptic tone, with the world building, of couse, but also emotionally. Really interesting read.

Must protect Lyis.....I guess I liked the other characters too, heh.
Really intense first chapter. I felt it introduced stakes with a sprinkling of world building (which is to say a good amount). I guess you could say that Aystaria was a little monotone but both considering the situation and not knowing the character yet I couldn't say if that was a problem or not.
